02 / Biomechanics & Injury Prevention

Find The Cause.
Not Just The Pain.

Biomechanics & injury prevention training at Legendary Recovery is a movement-based assessment service. We screen your standing posture, single-leg balance, gait, and key joint ranges to find the asymmetry that's setting up your next injury, then build a corrective protocol you run on your own training days. Delivered by a licensed massage therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist at our Cutler Bay and West Kendall studios in Miami.

Book An Assessment How It Works

What This Service Is

A movement-based diagnostic and corrective service. The operator screens how you stand, balance, walk, squat, hinge, and reach. Then identifies the asymmetry, compensation, or restriction that's quietly driving your tightness, soreness, or recurring tweak.

Most people only address injury at the symptom level. The hamstring keeps going. The shoulder keeps grinding. The same calf keeps cramping. The reason is almost never the muscle that hurts. It's the joint above or below it doing the wrong job. Biomechanics work finds that pattern and gives you the corrective work to interrupt it.

This is the service to book before you get hurt, after you come back from being hurt, or when training has stopped progressing without a clear reason.

Who This Is For

  • Athletes returning to play after an injury who want the cause cleared, not just the symptom
  • Lifters whose squat or pull has stalled despite consistent programming
  • Runners with one-sided pain, knee, calf, hip, or low back
  • Combat athletes after weight cuts or fight camps who feel asymmetric
  • Anyone who keeps tweaking the same muscle group
  • Office-based high performers training hard on weekends with chronic stiffness

How A Session Works

  1. IntakeYou walk in, we talk for ten minutes. Training history, injury history, where it hurts and what makes it worse, what the goal is. Specific. No fluff.
  2. Standing ScreenPosture from front, side, and back. Pelvic alignment. Shoulder symmetry. Foot pronation. Head position. Photos taken so we can measure progress in session three.
  3. Dynamic ScreenSingle-leg balance, overhead squat, hinge pattern, lunge, gait analysis. Joint ranges measured at the hip, ankle, shoulder, and thoracic spine.
  4. FindingsWhat we found, in plain language. Which side, which joint, why it matters, what it's costing your training. Walked through with you on the spot.
  5. Corrective ProtocolThree to five corrective exercises with the dose, the cue, and where they fit in your training week. Sent to you as a written protocol you can run alone.
  6. Re-screenMost clients re-screen at four to six weeks. We measure the same joints with the same tests. If the protocol worked, the numbers move.

What You'll Leave With

  • A written corrective protocol specific to your asymmetry
  • Photos and measurements of your starting baseline
  • A clear answer on why the area keeps flaring
  • Coaching cues you can use in your own training
  • A re-screen date on the calendar to verify progress

Frequently Asked

Is this physical therapy? +
No, and we don't market it that way. If you have an acute injury, see a physical therapist. This service is for the layer above PT, finding the movement pattern that drove the original injury and preventing the next one.
How is this different from a personal trainer? +
A trainer programs the training you do. Biomechanics work programs the corrective work that makes your training stop hurting you. The output is a specific protocol you run with your existing trainer or your existing program, not a replacement for either.
Do I need to come back? +
Yes. The whole point is the re-screen. We measure the same joints with the same tests at four to six weeks. If the protocol worked, the numbers move. If they didn't, we adjust.
Who runs the assessment? +
Sessions are run by founder Christian Diaz, a licensed massage therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist. Christian has treated professional athletes across the NBA, NHL, MLB, NFL, UFC, and La Liga.
